We headed up to Whidbey to winterize the cabin. Winterizing consists of turning off of the water, draining the pipes, cleaning out the refrigerator and lounging around. The skies parted and the sunlight poured down when we arrived.
While up there we had a rare sighting of “the bog woman” foraging for food. She is gathering cranberries which only grow in bogs.
I wandered around taking pictures of everything yellow. I had a lot of free time.
All of the northern Cascades were visible, which may be for the last for a couple of days. Seems to be snowing hard there now.
It was a short day but we did get sun shine, a rainbow, and a boat ride. Not bad for a day for one with no special plans.
